Minimum System Requirements

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 (download: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5)
• CentOS 5 (download: CentOS 5)
• 2.5Ghz Processor
• 4GB RAM
• 20GB free HDD space
• External MySQL database setup

Recommended Options

• SAN for uploading stored files
• An email account for incoming Present.ly-related email
• SMTP access for outgoing email
• A domain to host Present.ly on (ex: presently.mycompany.com)
• Optional SSL certificate for additional security (recommended)

Web Browsers

You can access Presently wherever you have an Internet connection via a PC, Linux, or Macintosh (Mac) computer. To take advantage of the newest Presently features, you'll need to use one of the following fully supported browsers:

• Google Chrome (download: Windows/Mac)
• Firefox 3.0+ (download: Windows, Mac, Linux)
• Internet Explorer 7.0+ (download: Windows)
• Safari 3.0+ (download: Mac, Windows)

We don't test the following browsers, but believe they will work with all of Presently features:

• Opera 9.5+

Deprecated Browsers:

• Internet Explorer 6, Mozilla Firefox 2 and Safari 2 will no longer be supported in future versions of Presently self-hosted.

Server Load

Server load depends primarily on the number of users online at once and their usage of Presently.

Under 25 concurrent users:

• 2GHz+ CPU or equivalent
• 512MB RAM

Over 25 concurrent users

• Dual 2GHz+ CPU Xeon or equivalent
• 2GB RAM

Over 100 concurrent users:

• Quad 2GHz+ CPU Xeon or equivalent
• 4GB of RAM

Over 500 concurrent users:

• Quad 2GHz+ CPU Xeon or equivalent
• 6GB of RAM

Over 1000 concurrent users:

• Quad 4GHz+ CPU Xeon or equivalent
• 8GB of RAM

Over 5000 concurrent users:

• Quad 8GHz+ CPU Xeon or equivalent
• 7.75GB of RAM

Over 10,000 concurrent users:

• Quad 8/16GHz+ CPU Xeon or equivalent
• 15.5GB of RAM

Over 20,000+ concurrent users:

• Quad 8/32GHz+ CPU Xeon or equivalent
• 31GB of RAM
